Ladies of Laughter® (LOL) is all about providing funny women the opportunity to showcase their unique styles of humor. Our mission is to encourage and promote new and professional comediennes from all walks of life to share their humor with audiences and help jumpstart their careers. Since 2012 our national Funny and Fabulous Tour has visited legendary theaters across America with the finest talent from the national competition. Past contestants include Amy Schumer, Tammy Pescatelli, Melissa Rauch (“Big Bang Theory”) and countless others.
Poppy Champlin
2024 National Professional Winner
Poppy is a comedically trained from Chicago Second City Training Center.
One of the most versatile comics in the country, her stand-up resume is extensive: Winner, America’s Funniest Real Woman on The Joan Rivers Show; featured on Entertainment Tonight, Showtime, LOGO, Comics Unleashed, Comedy Central, VH-1, HBO and Oprah. Poppy was recently inducted into the Rhode Island Comedy Hall of Fame and has opened for such comics as Ray Romano, Denis Leary, Bill Maher, Bill Hicks and Rosie O’Donnell.
Poppy can be seen at comedy clubs across the country in her “Queer Queens of Comedy” show.
Jane Condon
She has two boys, otherwise everything’s fine. Since she’s from a blue-collar town in Massachusetts, she likes to make fun of her current posh address in Greenwich, CT. She loves to tell stories about her adventures (mostly survival tales) with her boys. Condon was named one of 10 Comedy Best Bets in Back Stage’s annual comedy issue (2001). She has appeared on ABC-TV’s “The View” and Lifetime TV’s “Girls’ Night Out” and FOX-TV’s series finale of “24.” She won Audience Favorite (NY) on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.” Last May 2011, Jane was the commencement speaker at Wellesley College (her alma mater) and at the University of New Haven graduation.
