Ladies of Laughter® (LOL) is all about providing funny women the opportunity to showcase their unique styles of humor. Our mission is to encourage and promote new and professional comediennes from all walks of life to share their humor with audiences and help jumpstart their careers.
Since 2012 our national Funny and Fabulous Tour has visited legendary theaters across America with the finest talent from the national competition. Past contestants include Amy Schumer, Tammy Pescatelli, Melissa Rauch (“Big Bang Theory”) and countless others.
Carla Ulbrich is a clean guitar comic now based in Central New Jersey, with over 20 years of experience blending clean, observational comedy with sharp, relatable songwriting. Her shows combine stand-up structure with original songs and parodies that skewer everyday life, relationships, and modern absurdities without punching down. She’s a regular feature act at comedy clubs, libraries, and folk music venues, and has appeared at festivals and events including Ladies of Laughter, MENSA gatherings, The Philly Folk Festival, PBS programs, and nationally recognized comedy showcases.
G.L. Douglas is the 2024 Ladies of Laughter National “Professional” Runner-up. Whether she’s rocking iconic stages like The Improv, New York Comedy Club, and The Apollo Theatre, or keeping you in stitches on YouTube, G.L. knows she brings laughs from coast to coast and can light up any room! @comediangldouglas
Ellen Karis is the “Greek Goddess of Comedy” having performed stand-up comedy all over North America alongside such notables comedians as Drew Carey, Jimmy “JJ” Walker and Sebastian Maniscalco. As an acclaimed actress, Ellen has worked in TV, Film and Theatre. She has featured role as a waitress the past several seasons in Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, as well as appearing in Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman” Marvel Comics Netflix Show “The Punisher”, Showtime’s “Billions”, NBC’s “Blacklist”, HBO’s “Sopranos” and the Tina Fey/Amy Poehler feature film “Sisters”. @greekchickcomic
