Katie is from Derry, New Hampshire where her passion for dance grew. She received her dance training from The Derry Dance Center where she was trained in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary and musical theater. She was also a member of their company which allowed her to perform in different ballets and dance performances throughout New England. She was also active in the musical theater community and started performing when she was ten. Katie went on to get her BA in Elementary Education and Psychology from Stonehill College while also being a member and a choreographer for their dance club. Since then, Katie has choreographed for many youth theater companies including PYT and The Pine Street Players. She looks forward to bringing the love and joy of dance to all her classes this year!
